Surprise Layer Dessert

INGREDIENTS ARE LISTED BELOW IN THE RECIPE. THIS IS HOW MOM'S RECIPE WAS WRITTEN.
How to Make Surprise Layer Dessert
- 1Take one stick of butter and 1 1/4 cups of flour, blend until mealy.
Add 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts. Pack into a 9 x 13 glass baking dish.
Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.
- 2While cooling, whip together, softened 8 oz. cream cheese, 1 cup of sugar, 1/2 of a large container of Cool Whip.
Spread gently over baked crust.
- 3Take 2 boxes (3.4 oz) of Jello Instant Pudding, (your choice of flavor, we loved banana!) USING ONLY 3 CUPS OF COLD MILK. Whip and pour over cream cheese layer.
- 4Chill for 20 minutes.
Top with remainder of the Cool Whip, and chill.
(decorate the top with extra chopped nuts)
