This is a really old recipe and I had forgotton all about it until my BF's mom was asking about it.
Hunted up the recipe and here it is.

  • 6 c
  • 1 c
    white rice, i usually use long grain
  • 1/2 c
  • 1 c
    heavy cream
  • 3 large
    egg yolks, beaten
  • 2 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/2 c
  • 1/2 tsp

How to Make Rice pudding, mom's recipe


  1. Put milk and rice in a heavy sauce pan, bring to a low simmer, stir from time to time, and continue to cook until rice is done. I like a teflon pan the best for this.
  2. In a bowl whisk everything else and stir it into cooked rice.
  3. Continue to simmer until thick enough.
  4. Serve warm or cold.
