Warm rice pudding is one of our family favorite's for those cold winter mornings before heading out to wait for the school bus.

Ingredients

2 c
cream
1 1/2 c
milk
1/2 c
rice
1/3 c
sugar
1/2 tsp
salt
1 1/2 tsp
vanilla extract
1/3 c
raisins
cinnamon

How to Make Rice Pudding

Step-by-Step

  • 1Butter a 1 1/2 to 2 quart baking dish. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  • 2Combine cream, milk, rice, sugar, and salt over moderate heat and bring to a boil. Stirring constantly!
  • 3Pour hot rice mixture into buttered baking dish. Cover and bake 45 minutes. Stirring every 15 minutes.
  • 4Stir in raisins and vanilla and bake covered for 15 minutes more.
  • 5Sprinkle with cinnamon to taste before serving warm or cold. We enjoy it with a little milk or cream drizzled over the warm pudding.
