old fashioned rice pudding

This is a very old recipe that my great grandmother shared many years ago. I love it, it is so simple to make. My husband who doesn't care much for raisins ask me one day to make it and leave out the raisins...I did!!! After eating his dish he looked at me and said " honey, don't leave the raisins out the next time you make it." There's a good reason the raisins are in there, flavor.

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup rice, regular
- 4 cups milk, scalded
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup raisins
How To Make old fashioned rice pudding

Step 1Rinse and drain rice. When drained put in good size mixing bowl.

Step 2Scald milk and add to rice along with remaining ingredients, stir to mix. Pour into a greased baking dish.

Step 3Bake at 325 degrees for 2 hours, or until rice is tender. Stir several times during baking. This should not boil.
