For the first time in my 67 years, I asked for a recipe after being served this salad. There aren't words to describe how good it is!!!! I took 1 bite and said, "Oh my gosh!!!! I have to have this recipe!!!!! I went straight to the store and bought the ingredients!

The other people at this meeting ALL asked for the recipe!

This could easily be a dessert as well!

Keep in mind, it needs to cool for 24 hours, and a metal bowl will help keep it cool.

Ingredients

1/2 pt
whipping cream
2 Tbsp
butter
1/2 c
sugar
1 c
small marshmallows
1 can(s)
mandarian orange slices (15 oz.)
1
lemon (juice of 1 lemon) or 3 tbs lemon juice
1 c
maraschino cherries
1 c
white grapes
pinch
salt

How to Make Oh My Gosh!!! Salad

Step-by-Step

  • 1Place eggs, sugar, salt and lemon juice in pan. Beat until well mixed. Place pan over low flame.
    Stir constantly until mixture becomes thick. Mix in butter and put pan in a cool place until the custard mixture is completely cool.
  • 2While the custard is cooling, cut up the grapes, maraschino cherries and Mandarian Oranges.
  • 3Whip the whipping cream until peaks form.
    Fold in the lemon custard, fruit and marshmallows. Mix well.
    Put in a metal bowl, cover and place in the coolest part of the refrigerator for 24 hours.
