I found this recipe while looking through mom's large collection of recipes. I'm not sure where it originally came from, but it is in mom's handwriting - she was always copying tasty recipes!

I haven't tried this yet, but it sounds good!

She didn't write how many servings it made, but from the proportions of ingredients it sounds like two or three servings.

  • 1/4 c
    flour
  • 6 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 4 Tbsp
    cocoa powder
  • 2/3 c
    dry powdered milk
  • ·
    dash of salt
  • TO MAKE PUDDING, ADD:

  • 2 c
    water
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract

How to Make Mom's Chocolate Pudding Mix

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix all dry ingredients well. Store in a tightly sealed plastic bag til needed, then put in saucepan; slowly add water and butter. Blend well over low heat.
  2. Stir over low-medium heat until mixture thickens, and boiling begins. Add the 1 teaspoon vanilla. Serve warm or cold.
