I am always looking for GOOD low carb recipes...as few carbs as possible and has to taste GOOD because I would rather do without than eat something that just doesn't taste good. I have tried this recipe and it is quite good. I hope to try it the next time using cocoa powder for a chocolate custard. I also want to try to make a bigger batch and stick some in the freezer to see if it will satisfy an ice cream craving.

Ingredients

2 large
eggs
1/4 c
splenda
1 1/2 tsp
pumpkin pie spice
1/4 tsp
salt
11 oz
unsweetened almond "milk"...i used almond breeze
6 oz
water
1/2 tsp
vanilla extract

How to Make LOW CARB SPICED CUSTARD

Step-by-Step

  • 1Mix together the eggs, splenda, pumpkin pie spice and salt.
  • 2Then mix in the milk, water, and vanilla.
  • 3Pour into 3 ramekin/custard dishes sprayed with cooking spray. Place ramekins in baking dish in 1 inch of hot water.
  • 4Bake at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes. Let sit 15-20 minutes. Eat warm or cover with plastic wrap and cool completely in refrigerator.
