I am always looking for GOOD low carb few carbs as possible and has to taste GOOD because I would rather do without than eat something that just doesn't taste good. I have tried this recipe and it is quite good. I hope to try it the next time using cocoa powder for a chocolate custard. I also want to try to make a bigger batch and stick some in the freezer to see if it will satisfy an ice cream craving.

Ingredients For low carb spiced custard

  • 2 lg
  • 1/4 c
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 11 oz
    unsweetened almond "milk"...i used almond breeze
  • 6 oz
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract

How To Make low carb spiced custard

    Mix together the eggs, splenda, pumpkin pie spice and salt.

    Then mix in the milk, water, and vanilla.

    Pour into 3 ramekin/custard dishes sprayed with cooking spray. Place ramekins in baking dish in 1 inch of hot water.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes. Let sit 15-20 minutes. Eat warm or cover with plastic wrap and cool completely in refrigerator.
