Ingredients
- 1/3 to 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons corn starch
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 5 to 6 cups peeled, cubed tart apples
- 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1 tablespoon orange peel
- TOPPING
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or uncooked oats
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1/4 cup butter
How To Make cranberry apple crisp

Step 1Preheat oven to 350.

Step 2In a large bowl combine sugar, corn starch, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add apples, cranberries, corn syrup and orange peel; toss to mix well. Spoon into shallow 2-quart baking dish.

Step 3Topping: Combine nuts, brown sugar and flour. With pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in butter until mixture resembles very coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over cranberry mixture.

Step 4Bake 50 mins. or until apples are tender and juices that bubble up in center are shiny and clear. Cool slightly; serve warm.
