Ingredients
- 2 cups milk (whole milk works best)
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2/3 cup sugar (white or brown)
- 3 - eggs
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 cups bread (french bread works best)
- 1/2 cup raisins
How To Make bread pudding

Step 1In medium saucepan over medium heat, heat milk just until film forms over top. Add butter and stir until butter is melted. Cool to lukewarm.

Step 2Combine sugar, eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla in large bowl. Beat with electric mixer at medium speed for 1 minute. Slowly add milk mixture and mix.

Step 3Tear bread into small pieces. Place bread in lightly greased 1 1/2 quart casserole dish.

Step 4Sprinkle with raisins, then pour batter on top of bread.

Step 5Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes or until set. Serve warm.
