Ingredients
- 1 1/4 pounds white bread, diced ( 1/2 " cubes )
- 1 cup raisins ( soaked )
- 1 cup large eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 quart 2% low-fat milk
How To Make bread pudding

Step 1Butter a baking dish. Then soak the raisins.

Step 2Spread the bread evenly in the baking dish.

Step 3scatter the raisins on top of bread.

Step 4Whisk together eggs, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Then whisk in the milk

Step 5Pour the mixture over the bread and let stand for 30 minutes, periodically pressing the bread down with a spatula to help it absorb the liquid.

Step 6Preheat oven to 350'F.

Step 7Bake the pudding in a water bath until puffed and firm in the center, about 1 1/4 hours.
