banana cream dessert
(1 RATING)
This recipe came from my sister-in-law, Cynthia Beach, many years ago LONG before she was my sister-in-law! I was just a kid (she is WAY older than me...LOL...I might be in trouble if she reads this)but I love this dessert so I'll risk it!

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups butter, softened
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 3 large bananas
- 1/2 cup walnuts
- 2 packages banana instant pudding mix (the small boxes)
- 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 3 cups milk
- 1 cup cool whip
How To Make banana cream dessert
-
Step 11. Mix butter, flour, and walnuts thoroughly. Press evenly into a greased 9x13 pan. Bake for 15 minutes in a 350* oven. Let cool.
-
Step 22. In a small mixing bowl beat cream cheese and sugar until well blended. Fold in cool whip. Pour evenly over cooled crust. Chill in fridge for 15 minutes.
-
Step 33. Slice bananas over cream cheese layer. In a small mixing bowl beat milk and pudding mix slowly at low speed until blended (LOL if you do it fast you'll have milk and pudding everywhere!). Pour over sliced bananas. Spread the rest of the container of cool whip over top. Chill until completely set. Garnish with more sliced bananas, walnuts, or even sliced cherries.
