With apple season just around the corner I thought it would be a good time to share my Grandma Kaphingst's Apple Pudding recipe. Not much more feels like Fall than the smell of Apple and cinnamon in the air.

Ingredients
- 1/3 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 - egg
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups apple, grated
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
How To Make baked apple pudding

Step 1Combine, butter, sugar, and egg in mixer bowl. Beat until light, gradually blend in flour, soda, and spices. Stir in vanilla, apples and nuts.

Step 2Pour mixture in an 8x8 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.

Step 3Serve warm or cold topped with whipped cream or ice cream.
