This is the pie that my Grandmother made quite often. You could bet she made it for Christmas

Ingredients

  • GANACHE;
  • 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • FILLING;
  • 6 1/2 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream + 3/4 cup whipped soft
  • 6 1/2 ounces squares white baking chocolate melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon orange zest
  • 2/3 cup chopped macadamia nut's roasted
  • 1 - pre-baked pie shell
  • GARNISH;
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream whipped
  • 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1-2 ounce macadamia nuts chopped

How To Make white chocolate macadamia nut pie

  • Step 1
    GANACHE: Place chocolate chips in a bowl. Bring cream to a simmer over medium heat. Pour simmering cream over chips and stir until melted. Set aside.
  • Step 2
    FILLING: Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Scrape bowl with spatula and mix in 1/3 cup heavy cream.
  • Step 3
    Add melted white chocolate, zest, nut's stir until incorporated. Fold in whipped cream. Spread in pie crust. Put in freezer till frozen
  • Step 4
    TO FINISH: Microwave ganache on LOW until it pours easily, but is NOWHERE near boiling!! Spread over top of pie.
  • Step 5
    Garnish with whipped cream around edges and sprinkle with chopped nuts over top. Chill and serve
