This is a recipe my mother brought home when she took a trip to Hawaii. She had written it down on the hotel stationary. Not sure what the origin is, but she made it often when she first came home from Hawaii.

Ingredients For tropical nut pie

1 csugar

1 cflaked coconut
-
3/4 cmacadamia nuts, coarsely chopped

`1 clight corn syrup
-
1/4 cwhipping cream
-
3 lgeggs, lightly beaten

1 Tbspvegetable oil
-
19-inch pastry shell (i make my own or use a refrigerated cooked pie crust)
How To Make tropical nut pie

1Combine the first 7 ingredients in a medium bowl; stir well.

2Pour the filling into the pastry shell.

3Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes or until a knife inserted 2 inches from the center comes out clean.

4Cool on a wire rack.
