This comes from my maternal grandmother. I'm not sure why it is called Thursday's Sin... I think I was afraid to ask when I was little.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate (squares)
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 9 inch pastry shell, unbaked
- whipped cream, optional
How To Make thursday's sin

Step 1Combine the butter and chocolate in the top of a double boiler; bring the water to a boil. Reduce heat to low, and cook until the chocolate and butter melt, stirring occasionally. Set aside.

Step 2Combine eggs, sugar, milk, and vanilla in a large mixing bowl; beat at medium speed of an electric mixer for 3 to 4 minutes. Add the melted chocolate mixture, and beat well.

Step 3Pour the chocolate mixture into the pastry shell. Bake at 350 degrees F for 35 to 40 minutes or until set. Let cool completely. Serve with whipped cream, if desired.
