sweet potato pie
This is the best recipe! It was my great-grandmother's. However, if you don't want to cook the sweet potatoes from scratch, use canned sweet potatoes and mash them. Of course, we top it with whipped cream!
Blue Ribbon Recipe
This sweet potato pie recipe is a little different than others we've had. Mainly because of the addition of pecans not only to the top but the pie filling. Also, the cinnamon-sugar mixture sprinkled on top is unusual. Once cooled, it melts into the top of the pie and adds cinnamon sweetness. We loved the different twists to this sweet potato pie. A nice pie for the holidays.
