I have a couple of tart crusts that I use. This one is on the sweet side, and I use it a lot for things like fruit tarts, or other sweet items. It is easy to put together, and once baked you can choose to fill it with whatever you choose. So, you ready… Let’s get into the kitchen.

Ingredients
- PLAN/PURCHASE
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup almond flour
- 3 tablespoons coconut sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, kosher variety, fine grind
- 8 tablespoons sweet butter, unsalted, cut into cubes and cold
- 2 large egg yolks, whipped with a few drops of water

Step 1PREP/PREPARE

Step 2You will need a tart, or ovenproof pie pan to make this recipe.

Step 3Gather your ingredients (mise en place).

Step 4Place a rack in the middle position and preheat the oven to 350f/175c.

Step 5Place the dry ingredients into a food processor fitted with an S-blade, then toss in the cold cubed butter.

Step 6Use 1-second pulses until the butter is incorporated into the ingredients, as pea-sized pieces of butter.

Step 7Add the egg yolks, and then knead with your hands until it comes together. You should have a slightly sticky dough with visible bits of butter.

Step 8Generously butter a tart or pie pan.

Step 9Roll the dough out.

Step 10Fit it into the pan.

Step 11Dock the dough and place into the preheated oven.

Step 12PLATE/PRESENT

Step 13Bake until golden brown, then fill with whatever goodies you desire. Enjoy.
