sugar cream pie
This is a staple of the Hoosier State. This particular recipe is as close to the local Brand Name Wicks, as I have found.

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup sugar or splenda
- 2 cups half and half
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 prebaked pie crust
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 pinch nutmeg
- 2 - pats of butter
How To Make sugar cream pie

Step 1Mix first four ingredients in a sauce pan. Cook over medium heat, stirring until thickened.

Step 2Removed from heat and stir in vanilla.

Step 3Pour into prebaked pie crust.

Step 4cut pats of butter in half and put on top of filling. Can sprinkle with nutmeg if you desire.

Step 5Melt butter And allow top of pie to bubble slightly under broiler.

Step 6Cool and serve. Refrigerate leftovers
