Sugar Cream Pie
This pie is most requested for all occasions by family, friends and neighbors. There is something about its southern down-home goodness that appeals to almost everyone, even the kids.
How to Make Sugar Cream Pie
- Combine sugar and corn starch in a heavy sauce pan. Add milk to dry mixture and then add margarine (cut into chunks).
- Stirring constantly, cook over medium heat until mixture thickens and starts to bubble. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
- Pour into baked pie crust and sprinkle with nutmeg. Serve chilled. Makes one 9" pie.
