Sour Cream Raisin Pie
1 csour cream
3egg yolks (set whites aside)
·the egg whites may be used for merangue or save for a different recipe
How to Make Sour Cream Raisin Pie
- 1 pie crust prepared and baked 8" ro 9"
- Mix dry ingredients, flour, cinnamon, cloves and sugar.
Add to it the milk, and sour cream. Mix well.
Add raisins. heat but do not boil.
Add a small amount of the heated mix to the mixed egg yolks.
- Add egg mix back into the hot mixture and cook until thickened. Be careful you don't scorch it.
When thickened enough pour into the baked crust, cool.
- You can put a merangue on it before it cools or whip cream after it is cool. Either would be good.
