shoney's strawberry pie

This is a very old recipe. It is always delicious and very yummy. It is easy to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 4 tablespoons cornsarch
  • 1 1/2 cups boiling water
  • 1 small box strawberry jello
  • 1 quart sliced fresh strawberries.
  • 2 - prebaked pie shells
  • 1 - carton of cool whip

How To Make shoney's strawberry pie

  • Step 1
    Prebake pie shells
  • Step 2
    Mix 1 1/2 cups sugar, 4 Tbsp. cornstarch, 1 1/2 boiling water. Cook until thick. Remove from heat.
  • Step 3
    Add pack of strawberry jello. Mix good, & cool.
  • Step 4
    After it has cooled, add the sliced strawberries. Put into baked pie shells.
  • Step 5
    Refrigerate at least 2 hours, or until it has set up.
  • Step 6
    Serve with whipped topping, ( I spread a layer on to of the pie.)
