It's an Italian Ricotta Pie and I used Orange Liqeur and Orange Rind in it with dark chocolate chips. Enjoy

Ingredients

  • PIE CRUST IS PILLSBURY DOUBLE PIE CRUST OR MAKE YOUR OWN
  • FILLING
  • 2 - 15 oz. cartons whole milk ricotta cheese
  • 2 - large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • - grate rind of 1 orange
  • 2 tablespoons gran marnier or any orange liqueur

How To Make ricotta pie with choc.chips & gran mariner

  • Step 1
    In a large bowl combine ricotta cheese, eggs, sugar, orange peel and orange liqueur. Beat gently until blended. Add the chocolate chips and hand fold them through the ricotta mixture.
  • Step 2
    In a 9 inch pie plate, fit the crust into the bottom, flute edges and fork bottom. Add the filling.
  • Step 3
    The second crust cut into 1 inch wide strips and cross the other ones under as lattice. Flute edges. Bake at 425 for 45 minutes. Refrigerate leftovers.
