boiling water
1 c
white rice (can make it with brown too)
1/2 tsp


1 large
egg (beaten very well)
1 tsp
fresh parsley or dill (optional)

How to Make Rice Crust for casseroles!


  • 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2Prepare the rice ingredients. Let cool.
  • 3Beat the egg very well. If you want to add herbs do it now.
  • 4Stir the egg into the rice. Mix together well. Press rice mixture into a 9 or 10 inch pie pan.
  • 5Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
  • 6Put your filling of choice into crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
  • 7Serve with a salad
