This crust can be used for "pot pie", quiche, desserts, "pizza", The sky is the limit.... use your imagination!

Ingredients

  • RICE
  • 2 1/4 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup white rice (can make it with brown too)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • ADDITIONS
  • 1 large egg (beaten very well)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley or dill (optional)

How To Make rice crust for casseroles!

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step 2
    Prepare the rice ingredients. Let cool.
  • Step 3
    Beat the egg very well. If you want to add herbs do it now.
  • Step 4
    Stir the egg into the rice. Mix together well. Press rice mixture into a 9 or 10 inch pie pan.
  • Step 5
    Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
  • Step 6
    Put your filling of choice into crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
  • Step 7
    Serve with a salad
