  • RICE

  • 2 1/4 c
    boiling water
  • 1 c
    white rice (can make it with brown too)
  • 1/2 tsp

  • 1 large
    egg (beaten very well)
  • 1 tsp
    fresh parsley or dill (optional)

How to Make Rice Crust for casseroles!


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Prepare the rice ingredients. Let cool.
  3. Beat the egg very well. If you want to add herbs do it now.
  4. Stir the egg into the rice. Mix together well. Press rice mixture into a 9 or 10 inch pie pan.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
  6. Put your filling of choice into crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
  7. Serve with a salad
