Simple, and delicious. Makes 2 pies.

Ingredients

  • 4 - eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (i omitted)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 13 ounces canned pumpkin (small can is a different ounce)
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 cup milk (i used 3/4 cup due to ounce differences of pumpkin and evaporated milk)
  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 13 ounces evaporated milk (different ounce amount, used whole can)
  • 2 - 9" pie crusts

How To Make pumpkin pie, mom's

  • Step 1
    Combine eggs and pumpkin, add dry ingredients then liquids. Bake at 400 degrees 50 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Note: a deep dish pie pan and an 8 inch regular pan used all the filling. Put the metal pans on a cookie sheet when you put it in the oven).
