pumpkin chess pie
Chess pie is buttery, creamy, and has a distinct caramelized flavor. It has a custard consistency and is prepared with simple ingredients. Flavor variations include vanilla, vinegar, buttermilk, chocolate, and, what we are sharing a recipe for, pumpkin. Similar to a curd pie, some say it originated in England and was named after the town of Chester. Nowadays, it is thought of as a Southern pie. Delicious, inexpensive, and easy to prepare, chess pie has been around for centuries. This pumpkin chess pie recipe will be a wonderful addition to any holiday meal.
