I had this delicious pie at a pie social in the small community of Freisland WI the woman told me how to make it. Since I didn't have paper and pen, my sister memorized the first half and I memorized the second half. That's team work.

Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup coconut
- 3/4 cup light corn syrup
- 3/4 cup regular oatmeal
- 1 stick butter, melted
- 2 - eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup walnut pieces
- 1 - unbaked 9 inch pie shell
How To Make tina's poor man's mock pecan pie

Step 1Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Combine all ingredients except nuts and pie shell in a bowl. Pour into pie shell

Step 2Sprinkle with walnut pieces

Step 3Bake 425 degree oven for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake 20-25 minutes more.
