Ingredients
- 1 unbaked, deep dish pie shell
- 1/2 cup pinto beans, rinsed, drained, mashed
- 1 stick unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon molasses
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 teaspoons apple pie spice
- 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
How To Make pinto bean pie

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2In a large bowl, mix thoroughly the mashed beans, melted butter, sugar, vanilla, molasses, eggs, and apple pie spice. Add the chopped pecans.

Step 3Pour the mixture into the unbaked pie shell that has been placed on a cookie sheet. Bake for 45 minutes or until the pie has set.
