My family loves sweets and this is a very basic recipe that can be adapted for different things such as a vanilla pudding (omit pineapple). For example I use this for banana puddings.

Ingredients For pineapple cream pie

3/4 csugar

3 Tbspcornstarch
-
2 cmilk
-
3 lgeggs, separated

1 cancrushed pineapple (drained)

1 tspvanilla

1 1/2 Tbspbutter
How To Make pineapple cream pie

1Mix sugar & cornstarch in heavy saucepan

2Add milk & mix well. Cook on med heat until bubbly. Cook for 2 min. Stir constantly.

3Remove from heat & temper egg yolks. Add to mixture & cook for another 2 min stirring constantly.

4Remove from heat. Add vanilla & butter. Add drained pineapple.

5Pour into baked 9" pie crust & top with meringue.
