My family loves sweets and this is a very basic recipe that can be adapted for different things such as a vanilla pudding (omit pineapple). For example I use this for banana puddings.

  • 3/4 c
  • 3 Tbsp
  • 2 c
  • 3 large
    eggs, separated
  • 1 can(s)
    crushed pineapple (drained)
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp

How to Make Pineapple Cream Pie


  1. Mix sugar & cornstarch in heavy saucepan
  2. Add milk & mix well. Cook on med heat until bubbly. Cook for 2 min. Stir constantly.
  3. Remove from heat & temper egg yolks. Add to mixture & cook for another 2 min stirring constantly.
  4. Remove from heat. Add vanilla & butter. Add drained pineapple.
  5. Pour into baked 9" pie crust & top with meringue.
