My mom passed this recipe on to me years ago. Everyone loves her chess pies!

Blue Ribbon Recipe

What a lovely chess pie recipe! Perfectly sweet, smooth, and creamy, chess pie is a simple vanilla custard pie. It's uncomplicated and unsophisticated... and that's the beauty of the pie. Most chess pie recipes include milk. This one, though, eliminates the milk and increases the butter which creates a brown butter flavor. Erin's recipe has a far richer flavor than most chess pies and is delicious.
