making crumb crusts

I have a hard time finding these instructions every time I make a Graham cracker or chocolate crust for my pie so thought if I printed it out to put into my recipe book it would always be there for me. I hope it helps you to.

Ingredients

  • GRAHAM CRACKER CRUST
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs (24 squares)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • CHOCOLATE WAFER
  • 1 1/4 cups chocolate wafers (20 wafers)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • VANILLA WAFER
  • 1 1/2 cups vanilla wafers (30 )
  • - no sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • CREAM- FILLED CHOCOLATE
  • 1 1/2 cups cream-filled chocolate cookies (15 )
  • - no sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • GINGERSNAP
  • 1 1/2 cups ginger cookies (24 )
  • - no sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted

How To Make making crumb crusts

  • Step 1
    These instructions are for each of the above crumb mixtures.
  • Step 2
    In a bowl, combine crumbs, sugar and melted butter or margarine; blend well Press the mixture onto the bottom and up the sides of an ungreased 9-in, pie plate.
  • Step 3
    Chill 30 minutes before filling or bake at 375* for 8-10 minutes or until crust is lightly browned. Cool before filling.
