How to Make Lower Sugar Apple Pie
- Preheat the oven to 350°. Next prepare the pie plate by spraying with Bakers Pam, or grease & flour. Place the bottom pie crust in the plate and fit it well to the sides.
- Peel, cut, & core the apples. In a large mixing bowl combine the apples, lemon juice, sugar, & cinnamon. Mix well to coat all apple slices.
- Pour the apple mixture into the pie plate. Dot the filling with the butter pieces & place the top crust on the pie. Crimp the edges to seal well. Cut steam holes in the top crust.
- Bake for 45 to 55 minutes until apples are soft and the crust is golden brown.
