Ingredients
- 4 medium eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 pinch salt
- 1/3 stick butter
- 1 1/4 cups coconut
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- TOASTED COCONUT
- 1 tablespoon butter
- remainder of coconut from bag
How To Make grandma's coconut custard pie

Step 1Mix sugar and cornstarch together.

Step 2Mix eggs into sugar mixture.

Step 3Melt butter and mix with the remainder of the ingredients into the sugar and eggs.

Step 4Pour into pie crusts. This makes two pies. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until the middle is slightly jiggly.

Step 5To toast the coconut melt butter into a skillet. Add the remainder of the coconut from the bag. Stir and watch it until it is toasted to your satisfaction.
