indiana sugar pie
This is THE most delectable sugar cream pie I've ever tasted and it is so easy to make. The recipe came from the Indianapolis Star, July, 1992. Make sure your hands are clean for this one, because you'll be using your finger for a spoon!

How To Make indiana sugar pie
-
Step 1Blend flour, butter, sugar, and salt in a food processor until smooth. Pour into unbaked pie shell.
-
Step 2Add cream and mix gently with finger (you heard me!), being very careful not to tear the pie crust.
-
Step 3In a measuring cup, combine milk and vanilla. Pour over cream and DO NOT STIR! Sprinkle generously with nutmeg.
-
Step 4Bake on center rack in a 300-degree oven for 1-1/2 hours, until wiggly.
-
Step 5NOTE: Try to restrain yourself from eating the whole pie in one sitting.
