gram's rhubarb pie
This pie is the perfect balance of sweet and sour. It was a favorite recipe of my mother's as it used some of our over abundance of rhubarb.

Ingredients
- 3 cups chopped rhubarb
- 1 - frozen 9-inch deep dish pie crust
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
- 3 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
How To Make gram's rhubarb pie

Step 1Heat oven to 450 degrees F.

Step 2Place chopped rhubarb in frozen pie crust, spread evenly on bottom. Set aside.

Step 3In a large bowl, combine the sugar, flour and nutmeg.

Step 4Add the eggs and melted butter. Mix well.

Step 5Pour egg mixture evenly over rhubarb. (Mixture will be thick.)

Step 6Bake at 450 degrees F. for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F. and bake 30-35 minutes longer

Step 7Remove from oven and cool. Store leftovers in refrigerator.
