I have many apple pie recipes for a reason. My mom loved any kind of apple cooked or baked any way. She was my reason to wanting to learn how to cook & bake. Now when I cook or bake some thing she loved I cry a little.

Ingredients
- 24 - nilla wafers, crushed (bout 3/4 cup)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 - ready to use refrigerated pie crust
- 4 ounces phily cream cheese, softened
- 2 large baking apples, peeled & sliced
- 1 large pear, fresh, peeled & sliced
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
- 1-1/4 cup cool whip, thawed

Step 1Preheat the oven to 375F. Mix the wafer crumbs, brown sugar & butter until well blended. Then set aside.

Step 2next place the pie crust in a 9 inch sprayed pie plate. Then spread the cream cheese very carefully on the bottom o the crust. Sprinkle with half of th crumb mixture.

Step 3Then combine the fruit in a large bowl. Add in the sugar, flour & cinnamon. Toos well to coat fruit. Spoon over the crumb layer in the pie & sprinkle with the remaning crumb mixture.

Step 4Then bake for about 35 mins or until fruit is tender & crust is lightly browned. Cover edge of the pie loosley with foil after 25 mins. It will help prevent overbrowning. Cool & serve with the COOL WHIP.
