Gigi's Spinach-turkey Spaghetti Pie

Trina Wood

I love fresh spinach and make a spinach lasagna so just had to find a great recipe for my family that would be a "go to" for a spaghetti pie. This one did just that.

6 oz
uncooked angel hair pasta
2 Eggs
beat slightly
1/3 c
grated parmesan cheese
1 lb
ground turkey
1/2 c
onions, chopped
1 jar(s)
14 ozs, spaghetti sauce, (i use mushroom)
2 Tbsp
chili powder
3/4 tsp
garlic powder
1/2 tsp
dried basil
1/2 tsp
dried oregano
1 pkg
(8oz) light or fat free cream cheese (room temp)
1/2 pkg
fresh spinach ( use 1/2 a bag)
1/2 c
shredded mozzarella cheese

1Cook pasta according to package directions; drain. Add eggs and Parmesan cheese. Press into the bottom and sides of a greesed 9" deep-dish pie plate. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. While the pasta is baking, in a skillet, cook the turkey and onions over medium heat until turkey is no longer pink. Drain. Stir in the spaghetti sauce and seasonings, bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
2Break apart cream cheese, place in the crust. Then top with fresh spinach and meat sauce. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes or until set.
3Just so yummy. I know your family will love it.
