Ingredients
- 3 cups sugar
- 7 tablespoons baking cocoa
- 13 ounces evaporated milk
- 4 large eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups coconut, flaked
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 2 - 9-inch pie shells, unbaked
How To Make german chocolate pie

Step 1Melt the butter and set aside.

Step 2Combine the sugar and baking cocoa in a bowl.

Step 3Stir in the evaporated milk, eggs, melted butter and vanilla, blending well.

Step 4Stir in the coconut and pecans and turn into two unbaked pie shells.

Step 5Bake in a 350 degree F. oven for 40 minutes or until set around the edges.

Step 6Cool on racks.

Step 7Makes 2 pies of 6 servings each.
