I don't know where I found this recipe, but it sounds good.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 7 tablespoons baking cocoa
  • 13 ounces evaporated milk
  • 4 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups coconut, flaked
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 2 - 9-inch pie shells, unbaked

How To Make german chocolate pie

  • Step 1
    Melt the butter and set aside.
  • Step 2
    Combine the sugar and baking cocoa in a bowl.
  • Step 3
    Stir in the evaporated milk, eggs, melted butter and vanilla, blending well.
  • Step 4
    Stir in the coconut and pecans and turn into two unbaked pie shells.
  • Step 5
    Bake in a 350 degree F. oven for 40 minutes or until set around the edges.
  • Step 6
    Cool on racks.
  • Step 7
    Makes 2 pies of 6 servings each.
