This is a really good pie, especially when served still a little warm with vanilla ice cream. I don't remember where the recipe came from, I have had it for more that 45 years.

Ingredients
- 1 - unbaked 9" pie shell
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 2 - egg yolks, reserve whites
- 2 ounces chocolate, unsweetened (2 squares, 1 oz each)
- 1/3 cup sifted flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 - egg whites
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
How To Make fudge pie

Step 1Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees.

Step 2Melt chocolate in double boiler or microwave oven. Allow to cool.

Step 3Sift flour.

Step 4Cream butter until soft.

Step 5Blend sugar into the creamed butter.

Step 6Beat egg yolks, vanilla and melted, cooled chocolate into butter and sugar mixture.

Step 7Add sifted flour. Mix well.

Step 8Whip egg whites and salt until stiff. Fold into mixture.

Step 9Pour into unbaked 9" pie crust. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes. Delicious served warm with vanilla ice cream.
