fudge pie
This "from scratch" easy pie is a delicious version of a Southern classic pie! This is my mom's recipe, and growing up, it was one of my favorite! A la mode is a MUST!

Ingredients
- 1 stick butter/margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 - eggs, beaten slightly
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup plain flour (if you use self-rising, consistency is more "brownie" like)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 - unbaked pie shell
How To Make fudge pie

Step 1Melt butter on stove top in heavy saucepan. Stir in sugar and eggs.

Step 2Add flour and cocoa. Stir briskly until well mixed.

Step 3Add vanilla, making sure it is blended throughout.

Step 4Pour into unbaked pie shell.

Step 5Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until well set.

Step 6Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
