I'm no baker nor do I have a sweet tooth. I'm always looking for a quick and easy dessert for family and friends. This is a no brainer, easy and delicious. I hope that you will try this. It's a great finger food dessert idea for parties. Cooking With Passion, sw:)

Ingredients

1 pkg
refrigerated pie crusts
1/2 c
pineapple, chopped
1/2 c
pineapple cream cheese
4 large
basil, fresh & chopped
1/3 c
honey
1/3 c
chopped walnuts, divided

How to Make Fried Pineapple Basil Walnut Pies

Step-by-Step

  • 1roll out pie crusts, cut into 3 inch rounds. this should make appromiately 18-20 pies
  • 2combine pineapple, cream cheese, basil & half of the walnuts in a mixing bowl
  • 3spoon about a teaspoon of mixture on pie crust round
  • 4fold each round in half. add a little water around the corners. pinch and crinkle to seal
  • 5deep fry each batch around 3 minutes or until golden brown. remove from oil and drain
  • 6drizzle with honey and sprinkle remaining walnuts on top. ENJOY!!!
