I got this recipe years ago from a Taste of Home Cookbook. It is citrusly light,chocolately and it is so yummy. I hope you enjoy it because we have this every Easter.

Ingredients For easter pie

  • 1 pkg
    9 inch pastry shell
  • 1 box
    ricotta cheese, 15oz.
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1/4 tsp
    grated lemon peel
  • 1/4 tsp
    grated orange peel
  • 1 dash
    salt
  • 4 lg
    eggs
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/3 c
    semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/8 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1 dash
    nutmeg

How To Make easter pie

    In a bowl, beat the ricotta, sugar, and flour till mixed. Add peels and salt, beat until smooth. In another bowl, beat eggs until thick and lemon colored, about 5 minutes, slowly fold into ricotta mixture. Gently mix in remaining ingredients. Pour into the crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool. Store in the refrigerator.
