  • 5 - apples, granny smith(peeled, cored and dice )
  • 1 cup brown sugar, light mixed with 1 tablespoon of corn starch)
  • 1/2 cup butter, cold
  • 1/2 tablespoon cinnamon

  • CRUST TOPPING
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • - smuckers caramel sauce

How To Make dutch apple pie

  • Step 1
Preheat oven at 350 for 10 min. Put the pie crust for 15 minutes in the oven. Use the pie pearls or dry beans to avoid the pie from rise ( put aluminium foil first then pour the pie pearls or the beans). Set a side.
  • Step 2
In a hot pan melt butter, add sugar, vanilla, cinnammon and corn starch. Add the apples . Stir well. Cook the apples until they get a little soft.(pie filling like). Taste for sugar the granny smiths are sour maybe u want to add little more. Pour the Aplle filling into the pie crust.
  • Step 3
For the pie crust topping. With a fork combine the flour, sugar and butter until evenly mix. Sprinkle the mix until you cover the apples. Bake for 35 minutes or until the crust topping gets golden brown. After baking pour the caramel sauce to make a decorations, maybe some lines or curly circles. Serve hot or cold . Great with vanilla ice cream.
