This pie makes it's own crust. It's also called the Impossible Pie. The recipe was given to me by my husband's grandmother. I have made this countless times. NOTE: You can make this a coconut pie rather than chocolate by omitting the 4 TBSP of cocoa & adding 7oz of coconut.

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup self-rising flour
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa (or 7oz coconut)
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 medium eggs
  • 1/2 stick butter, melted (1/4 cup)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

How To Make chocolate brownie pie

  • Step 1
Preheat oven to 350. Combine well all the dry ingredients then add remaining ingredients, mixing well. You can mix with a whisk or an electric mixer. Pour into a 10" buttered pie plate & bake @350 for 30-40 minutes or until top starts to split. I highly recommend your baking this pie 40 minutes or so if you prefer a drier pie.
  • Step 2
Note: This pie makes it's own crust. It is very good and is a moist pie. It sorta reminds me of a very moist brownie. My granddaughter likes the chocolate better than the coconut, which is typical for kids. LOL
