Everyone in my Family loves this and people who end up at our table, that arent really blood, but they are related by my cooking LOL.I love to cook, I do it a lot, I do it with Love. The things we do from our heart, are the best things we ever do.

Ingredients

  • 2 - cans dark kidney beans
  • 1 -15 oz can tomatoes, crushed
  • 1-15 oz can tomatoe sauce
  • 2 or3 pounds lean ground sirloin
  • 1 cup sweet onion (chopped)
  • 1 package chilli seaoning
  • 1 LARGE package shredded three to five cheese mexican blend
  • 1 1/2 boxes jiffy mix cornmeal mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 packages deep 9 inch flacky pie crusts

How To Make chili pie ('sutherin' style)

  • Step 1
    In a large skillet, brown the beef, and the onion,
  • Step 2
    open and add the cans of ingredients listed above.all the juices included.
  • Step 3
    add the package of chili seasoning mix, optionally I add some mild peppers Like peperocinis. cut up. and a dab of hot sauce.
  • Step 4
    Cover and simmer about 30 minutes until thick.
  • Step 5
    Preheat the oven to 350
  • Step 6
    place 9inch pie crusts into the oven for about 5 minutes until slightly brown an remove.
  • Step 7
    sprinkle some of the shredded cheese into the bottom of the pie crusts.
  • Step 8
    fill each pie crust evenly with the chili mix.
  • Step 9
    mix jiffy mix with 2 eggs and a cup of milk . should be mixed until thick.
  • Step 10
    on top of the chili mix pies, add shredded cheese thickly, then por cornmeal mix and spread evenly over the top of pie,
  • Step 11
    Bake at 350 for about 25 minutes until the cornbread is nice and brown.
