I am not a big cherry pie fan but when I tasted this one I was hooked. I have no idea where I got the recipe but it is delicious and has been a staple on our Thanksgiving and Christmas table for the past 30 years. I hope that you enjoy this scrumptious pie during the upcoming holidays.
1Mix first3 ingredients together.
Add juice from can of cherries.
Place in small saucepan and cook until mixtures boils and thickens, stirring constantly
Add next 3 ingredients and let mixture come to a boil again.
Remove from heat and stir in cherries.
Fold into a 9" baked pie shell.
Cover entire pie with whipped cream.
