This pie was created because I ran out of chocolate chips, only had about 3/4 cup, so I added other ingredients: flaky coconut and one Butterfinger bar broken into pieces. I love the way the layers look and taste! It's sooo good. Took this picture the day after, early a.m. and couldn't resist another taste of it. Yum.

Ingredients

  • THIS WAS A SIMPLE PIE, AND I USED A PREPARED CRUST
  • 1 - 9 inch prepared deep dish pie crust,thawed
  • FILLING:
  • 2 - eggs, beaten until foamy
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup gran. sugar
  • 1/2 cup lt. brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup flaky coconut
  • 1 - standard size butterfinger bar, cracked into pieces
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

How To Make cc-c-b pie (like a toll house cooky pie)

  • Step 1
Beat the eggs, blend in flour, then the two kinds of sugar. Stir in chips, coconut and candy chunks, add vanilla and salt.
  • Step 2
Spread in the base of the unbaked, thawed pie crust.
  • Step 3
Bake at 325 degrees for an hour. Watch it to be sure it doesn't burn, it might be brown on top and soft, but mine was done in a few minutes short of 1 hour. Cool until room temperature then cut.
  • Step 4
Suggested toppings: ice cream or whipped cream.
