candi's chocolate peanut butter cream pie

My dad asked for a "reeses" in a pie form for his birthday, so I came up with this!

Ingredients

  • 1 - 9" graham cracker crust
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 cups milk
  • 3 - egg yolks beaten
  • 1 ounce unsweetened chocolate square
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4-6 - reeses peanutbutter cups
  • - whipped cream, sweetened

How To Make candi's chocolate peanut butter cream pie

  • Step 1
    Beat egg yolks in a small bowl, set aside. Add milk, corn starch, sugar, chocolates to sauce pan, bring to boil, stirring constantly.
  • Step 2
    Add small amount of hot chocolate mix to egg yolks, blend then add back to hot chocolate mix. Bring to boil, stirring constantly for 2-3 more minutes.
  • Step 3
    Turn off heat, add peanut butter, butter and vanilla, stir until completely blended. Pour into pie crust, put in fridge to cool and set up. 4-6 hours or overnight.
  • Step 4
    Make whipped cream, put on pie. Crush cold reeses candies and sprinkle over top.
