How to Make Buttermilk Pie
- Cream butter; gradually add sugar cornstarch, and salt, beating well at medium speed of an electric mixer.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in buttermilk and vanilla.
- Pour filling into the pastry shell. Place in a preheated 425 degree oven. Reduce heat to 350 degrees., and bake 50 minutes or until the pie is set.
