BOURBON AND ORANGE PECAN PIE

19" pie crust
1 clight corn syrup
3/4 cpacked light brown sugar
4 Tbsp(1/2 stick) unsalted butter, melted
2 Tbspbourbon (or 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract)
1/2 tspgrated orange zest
2 cpecan halves
How to Make BOURBON AND ORANGE PECAN PIE
- In a large bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, sugar, butter, eggs, bourbon, orange zest, and salt. Mix in the pecans.
- Pour the pecan mixture into the pie crust. Set an oven rack on the lowest position and heat oven to 350 degrees. Place the pie plate on a foil-lined baking sheet.
- Bake until the center is set, about 50 to 55 minutes. Let cool completely to room temperature before serving. Top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
- This pie can be made up to one day in advance and stored, loosely covered with plastic wrap, at room temperature.
