Ingredients

  • 1 - 9" pie crust
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons bourbon (or 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract)
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated orange zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups pecan halves

How To Make bourbon and orange pecan pie

  • Step 1
    In a large bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, sugar, butter, eggs, bourbon, orange zest, and salt. Mix in the pecans.
  • Step 2
    Pour the pecan mixture into the pie crust. Set an oven rack on the lowest position and heat oven to 350 degrees. Place the pie plate on a foil-lined baking sheet.
  • Step 3
    Bake until the center is set, about 50 to 55 minutes. Let cool completely to room temperature before serving. Top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
  • Step 4
    This pie can be made up to one day in advance and stored, loosely covered with plastic wrap, at room temperature.
