Bite-Size Apple Pies
Blue Ribbon Recipe
Apple pie in a bite-sized form ... delicious! I highly suggest making the homemade apple pie spice. The combination of flavors is great. The cardamom has a strong, spicy flavor that works well with the cinnamon and nutmeg. The pies on their own are delicious with the crunchy gingerbread cookie crust. But drizzle the caramel sauce on top and no one will be able to resist these adorable apple pies. The caramel sauce is going to be a staple in your fridge.

How to Make Bite-Size Apple Pies
- Caramel Sauce: Mix the brown sugar, half and half, butter and salt in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Cook while whisking gently for 5 to 7 minutes until it gets thicker. Add the vanilla and cook another minute to thicken further. Turn off the heat, cool slightly and pour the sauce into a jar. Refrigerate until cold.
